You can even use the leftover buttermilk for making waffles, scones, bread, pancakes or buttermilk balsamic sorbet!

Simply roll out your pasta dough into a long thin sausage, cut into pieces, dust with a little plain flour, flour your thumb and fingers, place one piece of dough on the board then roll and push with your thumb. It’s therapeutic fun. And with two gnocchi, garganelli or cavatelli boards in your toolkit, your kids can have a go too.
For garganelli, roll your pasta out and cut into 4cm squares, place the square on your board in a diamond shape, and roll your pasta square around a small piece of dowel, press a little to get the ridges, remove the dowel and repeat.
