If your Thermomix needs to repaired under the warranty, you would need to organise and cover the shipping costs of your Thermomix^® back to Australia as well as return shipping to your country of residence.

A Thermomix^® warranty only applies in the country from which the Thermomix^® was purchased, however, a Thermomix^® purchased in Australia or New Zealand has full warranty coverage in both countries.

Recipes already synced to the Thermomix^® TM6 will stay on the device and can be cooked for 30 days without sync. Then a new sync is necessary. The TM6 Basic Cookbook recipes will be pre-programmed into your TM6 and will not be affected by the WiFi connection or syncing.

Only one Cookidoo^® account can be linked to a Thermomix^® TM6 at any one time. To switch between Cookidoo^® accounts on your TM6, first log out and disconnect the TM6 from your Cookidoo® profile. Please note that when you log out all the bookmarks and recipe lists from your profile will be deleted from the device. You can then log in with another profile.

Whenever you wish to switch accounts, you have to log out of the active account and delete it from the TM6. You can then log in with a different account. The TM6 will immediately synchronise and your lists and favourites will be back.

Yes, as long as your friend has logged out of their Cookidoo^® account on the Thermomix^® TM6 screen a new user can then log in to a different Cookidoo^® account via the screen of the TM6. Important to note is that when you log out of your Cookidoo® account all lists and bookmarks from that Cookidoo^® account will be deleted on the TM6 appliance, but not from your Cookidoo^® account. The TM6 appliance will immediately sync bookmarks and collections to the TM6 appliance related to whichever Cookidoo^® account has been logged into. Recently cooked recipes will not be saved on the device.

It's as simple as connecting via your Thermomix^® settings. Your expert Thermomix^® Consultant can show you how to do this in your First Cook and is always there to help.

The Thermomix^® TM6 can be used without an internet connection, however, you will need an internet connection to access Cookidoo® and perform software updates. Once you have synchronised your bookmarks and recipe lists from Cookidoo^®, your TM6 can be used offline.

Varoma^® is a special setting for steam cooking and steaming ingredients. You can adjust your temperature setting on the display via the temperature selector. The maximum temperature on the Varoma^® setting is 120°C. The exact temperature depends on the ingredients you use, such as oil. Just remember that on the Varoma^® steam cooking setting, 250 ml of water or water-based liquids will evaporate within 15 minutes. The maximum speed setting you can use with Varoma^® steam cooking is level 6. The heating function automatically deactivates at level 6.5.

To activate the reverse knife movement, briefly tap the speed dial.

You can reverse the direction of the mixing knife at any speed. The reverse operation at a low speed is intended for gently stirring delicate food which is not to be chopped. To do this:

1. Tap the speed dial to switch the direction of the mixing knife from forward (clockwise) to reverse (counter-clockwise). The counter-clockwise direction is indicated by the reverse symbol on the speed dial.

2. To change back to clockwise direction, tap the reverse symbol again, or wait until the set time has expired and the rotation is automatically set back to the forward knife movement.

You can change the volume and length of the program alarm on your Thermomix^® TM6 on the main menu under 'Settings'.

To set the volume, duration and melody of the sound that is made at the end of the cooking process you can do this under the 'Ringtone' menu. The duration of the finishing sound can be limited to 3 repetitions.

The Thermomix® is very quiet in most of its different modes.

It may be noisier for a short time when starting to chop hard foods such as coffee beans, hard cheese, grains, ice or frozen fruits. This is a similar level of noise to a grain mill, but it reduces after just a few seconds.

You can change the contrast and brightness of the display on your Thermomix® TM6 under the main menu under 'Settings' and then 'Display'.

To check the serial number and the software version of your Thermomix ®TM6 click on the 3-stripe field on your screen. This will open a list of menu options. Select 'Settings' from the menu and then select 'Thermomix® version and update' to get your serial number and software version. You can also find the serial number printed on the type plate below the upper housing on your Thermomix^®.

Converting recipes is easy and your expert Consultant is here to help, so be sure to reach out to them as your first port of call. A great tip is to find a Thermomix^® recipe that is similar to the one you want to convert (either on Cookidoo^® or Recipe Community). Following the safety instructions in your Thermomix® manual, adjust the quality or quantity of ingredients and the cooking time as needed for your recipe. Adapt the steps as needed and make notes along the way so you can continue perfecting your recipe method, each time you make it. You can scale down the ingredients when you're manually cooking recipes but not in guided cooking. The recipe might need to be adjusted for the preparation time (e.g. cutting, cooking) due to the different amounts of ingredients used.

Transportation mode allows you to secure the mixing bowl and lid with the locking arms if you need to transport your appliance.

1. Make sure the mixing bowl, including the lid is correctly inserted into the base unit.

2. Select Main Menu > Transportation mode and activate the mode using the slide control.

3. The locking mechanism is then activated. You can then switch off your Thermomix^® TM6 and transport it safely.

First disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply before cleaning the base unit. Clean the display and main appliance in the same way by wiping them with a soft, damp cloth and gentle cleaning agent. Use water sparingly to prevent moisture entering the appliance. Do not use sharp tools or harsh cleaning liquids/sprays.

You can change your temperature preferences by going to Settings and changing the temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit.

Changing the temperature in your settings does not change the temperature or measuring settings of the recipe. If you choose to cook a recipe that uses Celsius temperatures, you won’t be able to change it to Fahrenheit.

After you have selected a recipe on the Thermomix^® TM6, simply scroll down and you will see all the information you need about ingredients and steps of the recipe.

Yes. On your Thermomix^® screen click on the three dots next to the Next button, select Recipe details and you can have a look at an overview of all steps of the current recipe (scroll down to see all details). If you click on any step in this list, you will return to your current cooking step.

To browse recipes while cooking on the Thermomix^® TM6 push the Home button. You will then be able to browse thousands of recipes on Cookidoo®, including your saved recipes collections and menus.

Whether you’re washing it by hand or in the dishwasher, always disassemble your mixing bowl first. Dry it thoroughly, being careful with the pins on the bottom, before re-assembling it for use.

Some ingredients such as turmeric, carrots, tomatoes, etc. may stain plastic. To avoid these kinds of stains, you need to wipe any coloured food off the plastic parts as quickly as possible. The majority of other discolouration will disappear automatically over time but putting the parts in direct sunlight can help with this.

Vorwerk^®, the manufacturer, recommends you sous vide using the Thermomix^®TM6 model as it features a specific mode that has the perfect settings for this cooking technique as well as a lid on the simmering basket which prevents the sous vide pouch from blocking the opening in the centre of the TM6 mixing bowl lid. This allows steam to escape during the sous vide process.

Sous vide cooking with Thermomix^® can be done using either the TM6 basket with lid or the Blade cover accessory. While we do recommend that the TM6 is the best option for sous vide cooking because it has the specific sous vide mode, the TM6 basket with lid is compatible with both the TM6 and TM5.  The Blade Cover & Peeler accessory is compatible with both the TM6 and TM5 and is available to purchase from TheMix Shop.

When you use your Thermomix^® for sous vide cooking:

1. Make sure the liquid doesn’t exceed the maximum mark in your mixing bowl after adding your sous vide food pouch.

2. Make sure all the air has been removed from the sous vide food pouch, so that it's completely submerged in the liquid.

3. For sous vide cooking, never exceed a maximum temperature of 85°C.

4. For sous vide cooking use only the reverse setting on a maximum of Speed 1.

5. The opening in the mixing bowl lid should never be blocked or covered from the inside or the outside (with the exception of the MC). This important safety feature is to allow steam to escape. If you notice that the opening in the mixing bowl lid has become blocked during the sous vide cooking process the manufacturer recommends you turn the appliance off at the power point and safely unplug it (do not touch the control panel). Then leave it to cool down completely.

For Thermomix^® TM5, in order to search for recipes while you're cooking, you can set a bookmark by selecting 'Save current recipe' before you start searching for a new recipe.

If the scales on your Thermomix^® TM5 are displaying incorrect weights, first check the appliance is standing evenly on the work surface, on all three feet. Make sure the power cable does not get trapped under the TM5 or pulled too tight. You also need to keep the feet clean and free from anything that might interfere with them (e.g. grains of salt or sugar, crumbs). If the problem persists, please fill out this form.

The Varoma^® setting is not about reaching a specific temperature but about a special setting where the food is steam-cooked. When using water, the temperature can’t go any higher than 100°C, so the colour bar will display the actual temperature.

The 120°C setting is an actual controlled temperature setting. Temperatures of over 100°C can only be reached when using oily ingredients.

If your Thermomix^® TM5 is not able to read the recipe chip or has lost connection, check that both the TM5 and recipe chip are clean and dry. Try to reattach the recipe chip after a few seconds and it should be recognised again. If you are still having trouble please fill out this form.

The dough mode and turbo mode will both be deactivated if the temperature is above 60°C. If you want to use either of these modes, then you first need to make sure the contents of the bowl is not hotter than 60°C. If the bowl contents is over 60°C wait a short time until the temperature has cooled down. Waiting time will depend on what kind of food is in the bowl.

If you think your Thermomix^® TM5 is heating up quite slowly it may be because you are using soft heating on speeds 2 and 3. If you have chosen these speed settings, the temperature will increase more slowly than at the other speeds as this allows you to heat up sensitive ingredients more gradually (e.g. zabaglione).

Yes, you can prepare Thermomix^® TM31 recipes in the TM5 and TM6. As a TM31 owner, when using a recipe marked as TM5 or TM6, you must:

1. Reduce the quantity of ingredients to ensure you don't overfill your mixing bowl past the maximum capacity 2L marking, found on the inside of your mixing bowl.

2. Reduce the quantity of ingredients in the Varoma^® to ensure it doesn't exceed the 2.2L capacity (ensure the Varoma^® lid closes securely).

3. For recipes using temperatures between 100°C and 120°C, reduce temperature to 100°C and increase cooking times accordingly. Please note that recipes marked ONLY as TM5 or TM6 have not been tested in a TM31 (recipes marked TM6/TM5/TM31 have been tested in all appliances).
