Launched in 2014, the Thermomix® TM5 continued in market until the launch of the Thermomix® TM6 in 2019. The TM5 was the first model in our long history to feature a touchscreen, which allowed guided cooking recipes to be displayed step-by-step.
By purchasing a refurbished Thermomix® TM5, you are assured of excellent refurbishment carried out by expert technicians trained exclusively in the repair of Thermomix® appliances.

What's the difference between the Thermomix® TM5 and TM6?
- Connectivity and Recipes: The Thermomix® TM6 connects directly to Wi-Fi to sync your Cookidoo meal planner on-screen while the Thermomix® TM5 model requires a magnetic "Cook-Key" attachment (not included) to sync recipes from Cookidoo®.
- Temperature Range: The Thermomix® TM6 reaches 160°C for browning, sautéing, and sugar work whereas the Thermomix® TM5 reaches a maximum of 120°C.
- Screen Size: The Thermomix® TM6 has a larger, clearer 6.8-inch digital display compared to the smaller screen on the Thermomix® TM5.
- Weighing Accuracy: The Thermomix® TM6 built-in scales weigh in 1g increments whereas the Thermomix® TM5 scales measure in 5g increments.
- Cooking Modes: The Thermomix® TM6 includes built-in modes like Sous Vide, slow cooking, fermentation, and a pre-clean function, while the Thermomix® TM5 has a more limited set of modes, along with both manual and guided cooking options.
Are the TM5 and TM6 bowls and accessories interchangeable?
The Thermomix® TM5 and Thermomix® TM6 mixing bowls and knife assemblies are not interchangeable between models, though many secondary accessories are cross-compatible such as the simmering basket, bowl lid, butterfly whisk, measuring cup, and Varoma® dish which can be used on either the Thermomix® TM5 or Thermomix® TM6. Additional accessories (not included) like the TM5/TM6 Cutter+ and Blade Cover Peeler can be used on both the TM6 and TM6.
