Our coeliac and gluten-intolerant customers told us time and again how much they struggled to find gluten free recipes that satisfy the whole family, and how much they craved bread, cake, pasta and pastry. That’s what inspired all the gluten-free Thermomix recipes in Good Food, Gluten Free. These are just a few of the favourites that even our non-gluten-free staff can’t get enough of!
Mediterranean bread
This is one of our most popular gluten-free breads, even our customers who don’t follow a gluten-free diet love it! But if you aren’t a fan of olives, never fear. We’ve got buckwheat bread, sourdough bread, pita bread and more to tempt you! View the Mediterranean bread recipe on Cookidoo.
Sausage rolls
These sausage rolls are simply delicious! There’s nothing more that can be said. One bite and you’re hooked. And there’s not a sausage that you can’t make from scratch here. You can opt to mill your own rice flour for the pastry and make your own tomato sauce for the dip! View the Sausage rolls recipe on Cookidoo.
Choux puffs with Swiss meringue
Choux got be kidding? No, you heard right! We’ve perfected the art of gluten-free choux pastry so you never have to miss out on high tea treats again. Go for the sweet versions, with Swiss meringue or a gluten-free custard, or savoury it up. You’ll love every little bite. View the Choux puffs with Swiss meringue recipe on Cookidoo.
Breakfast cereal clusters
Sometimes it’s the simple things you miss the most, like a satisfying bowl of cereal to start the day. But with all the sugars, additives and sneaky gluten found in most store-bought packs (and the insane cost of gluten-free cereals), this gluten-free breakfast recipe will make your morning. Packed with the wholefood goodness of teff, puffed buckwheat, quinoa flakes, chia seeds, amaranth grains, nuts and dried fruits, you’ll start your day with an energy-boosting bowlful of fibre, protein and essential nutrients.
Waffle cone instructions
1. Preheat your waffle cone maker over medium to high heat for 3- 5 minutes.
2. Lightly spray the bottom and top grindles of the waffle cone maker with oil
3. Add 1.5 tablespoons of mixture, then press the maker closed
4. Cook over a medium heat for approx. 30 seconds per side, flipping it three times.
5. Once the mixture is cooked, carefully and quickly transfer the wafer to a clean tea towel and shape it.
With a non-stick coating for easy cleaning, your stovetop waffle maker is dishwasher safe. But we recommend handwashing in mild soapy water with a soft cloth, together with the cone shaper (that’s handwash only).
A quick soak in warm water will loosen any stuck-on batter without the need for abrasive cleaners or highly alkaline detergents that can damage the non-stick surface. And be sure to use wooden or silicone utensils rather than metal ones to lift and transfer your waffles.
