New gas regulator in the Ovana Portable Pizza Oven

In compliance with new Australian Standards, the new Ovana Portable Pizza Oven comes with the Leisure Cylinder Connection Type 27 (LCC27) gas regulator connection. This connection only works with new gas bottles with a matching LCC27 valve. The gas bottles with the old POL valve will be phased out over time.

If you purchased an Ovana earlier this year, your gas regulator will connect to both Type 21/POL gas bottles and the new LCC27 gas cylinders. However, if you would like to update your gas regulator to the new LCC27 model, we have made these available to purchase separately here.

When you purchase your new Ovana from June 2022 you’ll automatically receive the new LCC27 gas regulator. This regulator will not connect to an old gas bottle (that contains a POL valve), so you’ll need to swap to a new gas cylinder with the LCC27 valve to use your Ovana, and any other new gas appliances manufactured after April 2022.

Gas regulator FAQs

Still have questions? We hope you'll find your answers below.

What’s different about the LCC27?

The main feature of the new valve, referred to as LCC27, is that gas will not flow unless the valve is connected correctly to a gas appliance.

I own an Ovana with the POL connection, what does this mean?

The introduction of the LCC27 valve is an evolution of the standards in Australia. Your Ovana can still be used with the POL connection however, all new gas appliances are being made with the new LCC27 connector. If you purchased an Ovana earlier this year, your POL gas regulator will connect to both Type 21/POL gas bottles and the new LCC27 gas cylinders.

Please see more information here.

Will I still be able to use my Ovana with the POL gas regulator with the new LCCC27 valve on the gas cylinder?

Yes. The new valve is compatible with existing gas appliance connections.

If I buy a gas appliance with the new connection will it be compatible with the gas bottle I have at home with the old valve?

If you have an old gas cylinder with a POL connection it will not be compatible. The new appliance with the LCC27 gas regulator will only connect to a gas bottle with the new LCC27 valve and will not be able to be connected to an old cylinder valve. The gas bottles with the old POL valve will be phased out over time.

I have an Ovana with the POL appliance connector. Can I swap to the new connection?

Yes, these can be purchased from TheMix Shop. You’ll also need to make sure you have a gas cylinder with a LCC27 connection.
