You can safely place the glass bottles and silicone lids in the dishwasher for convenient cleaning. However, exercise caution when exposing them to rapid temperature changes, such as transferring hot jars to a cold environment or vice versa. If used in the Varoma®, allow the jars to cool to room temperature before washing, refrigerating, or freezing to prevent sudden shocks and reduce the risk of breakage.
This is the 3rd set I have purchased...... love them. Just be careful not to rinse in very hot water prior to placing in the dishwasher ..... I have had some crack!!! ( it is sometimes difficult to get the last bits of yoghurt from the rim around the base and I was using hot water to assist; not a great idea )

Perfect size for making yogurt at home
I love the look and size of the jars, which are perfect for making individual pots of yoghurt, but I was very disappointed at the state they arrived in. They were filthy. They looked like they had been used, rinsed and put back in the box. So the glass was cloudy from what looked like residue from food or fluid. I did wonder if they had been returned and no one had checked the box.

Jars and lids arrived as described and in good time. Just wish the jars were a little bigger as my yoghurt, made with 1 litre of milk, is too large a quantity for these jars.
