I love the convenience of slow cooking. And now with the TM6 it’s become even more convenient. I can brown the meat and vegetables using high heat, then switch on the slow cook mode. This keeps all the flavours in the one bowl. And the longer the dish simmers the better the flavours develop. I love curries and stews, so for me this mode is a winner!

Tips from our recipe development team
When using the slow cook mode, your TM6 blades will turn slowly for the first 30 minutes and then switch to alternating for 1 minute on and 1 minute off. If you stop the mode halfway through, your Thermomix will reset and begin the 30 minutes of stirring again.
If cooking your own recipe, be sure to add either 30g of vinegar or lemon juice. This will add a delicious flavour to your sauce, but also protects your bowl during long cooking methods.
This mode is great for cheaper low-quality cuts of meat that require longer cooking, leaving you with a melt-in-your-mouth tender piece of meat.

I’ve fallen in love with the Silverbeet Dahl from our new Slow Cooking collection. It uses the delicious tandoori paste from the Flavours of India cookbook and it’s so simple to make. Another crowd favourite is the Pulled pork burger. It makes a huge amount so I use leftovers for wraps, enchiladas or pies.
