It is a spare battery and very efficent to use when the other one runs out and work is still not finish.
Having purchased the vacuum cleaner and the steam mop I found it necessary to buy a spare battery so that the house can be vacuumed and mopped at the same time - one battery runs out before the job is done! prompt despatch of the battery and it does the job. Perhaps you should consider adding a spare battery to the package when one purchases the two appliances at the same time.
