Didn’t last!

I am disappointed that the bottom part of my blade snapped, the centre pin just completely broke, I was making fresh breadcrumbs . I’ve had my TM6 for 3 years, the hardest food I have processed would be carrots, nuts and parmesan. I do expect the blade to go blunt after time, but not for the pin to snap. The TM31 was 10 years old when I traded it in for the TM6 June 2023.

Thermomix

Hi Rina,
Thankyou for your review. The blade or mixing knife is a consumable part to the Thermomix and will require replacement from time to time, depending on how the customer uses their Thermomix. Just like the tyres on a car, the more and harder you drive your car, the more often you will need to replace the tyres. Some people will get 5+ years from their blade but others may need to replace the blade every 6 months.

There is an inbuilt safety clutch in the shaft of the mixing knife which will release as it wears, or if it has been overloaded. So your blades have done exactly what they are meant to do, to avoid any strain on the machine itself.

To test if the mixing knife has released, hold the blades in one hand and then try to turn the small corrugated knob on the bottom of the blades with your other hand. If it turns, the mixing knife is unserviceable and will need to be replaced.

Hoping this helps but please reach out to our customer service team should you need more information.

Blade knife not sharp.

Unfortunately I’m really disappointed with the new knife. It won’t even cut up a carrot and onion properly without puréeing the rest and still leaving chunks.

Hi Lauren, we are really sorry to hear this and that's certainly not how they should behave, particularly when brand new. We'll have our team reach out to assist.
