Firstly, we apologise for an inconvenience caused. Cookidoo®, as a global platform, is managed by Thermomix® manufacturer Vorwerk, based in Germany. In line with new European Union (EU) regulations, Vorwerk are required to follow a two-factor verification on subscription payments by reserving a symbolic amount. In this case, the $1 on the card, to verify its validity.
Rest assured this amount will not be charged to your card. The $1 will disappear off your card once verification is complete.
Vorwerk is currently working on shortening the verification period as much as possible.
Firstly, our apologies for the inconvenience caused. Cookidoo®, as a global platform, is managed by Vorwerk in Germany but we’re here to help you connect with them. To quickly enable us to process a request for a refund of one of those payments on your behalf, please contact us via our Australia website or New Zealand website and provide us with the following information.
- A screen shot of the two payments including any reference or Transaction ID codes associated to each. If either of the payments show as “pending”, we won’t be able to submit the request on your behalf until payment has been completed.
- Confirmation of the email address for your Cookidoo® account.
- Confirmation that you do not have more than one Cookidoo® account.
Once we have this information, we will lodge a request for a refund on your behalf. Please note, we’ll need to lodge this request within 14 days of the payment being made. Successful refunds will be made to the credit card or PayPal account used for payment.
Firstly, we’re sorry you didn’t intend to renew your subscription.
Your Cookidoo® subscription is auto renewed annually unless you cancel the renewal from within the Cookidoo® platform prior to the renewal date.
A reminder email was sent to your Cookidoo® email address at least 15 days prior to the renewal date to give you the opportunity to cancel before payment is taken. Please check your spam/junk folders if you can’t locate it in your inbox.
Unfortunately, if we don’t receive a cancellation on your subscription before the renewal date, Vorwerk, who manage the Cookidoo® platforms globally, have advised that a refund isn’t available for that subscription payment.
To avoid this recurring, we suggest you remove the automatic renewal by logging into your account and go to the following screens:
Your Name>Account>Membership>Cancel Membership
In the meantime, we hope very much you will continue to enjoy the world of deliciousness and menu planning available to you through Cookidoo®.
To remove the automatic renewal of your Cookidoo® account, simply log into your account and go to the following screen:
Your Name>Account>Membership>Cancel Membership
This will remove your credit card details so no auto renewal will occur. You’ll receive a prompt closer to the expiry date of your subscription to remind you to renew if you wish. You can revoke cancellation at any time before the expiry of your current subscription.
You will also, of course, continue to have full access to Cookidoo® until the expiration of your current subscription period.
To keep enjoying the convenience and deliciousness of Cookidoo®, if you haven’t already added your payment details, simply go to the Cookidoo® website, log into your account, then go to Account>Membership to add your payment information. Payment will be taken once your free trial has expired – you won’t be paying for any extra days.
If you’d rather not continue with a subscription to Cookidoo®, you don’t need to do anything. Your subscription will expire at the end of your trial.
If you’d like to have your Cookidoo® account deleted, you can do this by going to our Australian website or New Zealand website (depending on your location) and providing us with the following information.

There are a couple of things you can quickly check if the recipes you have saved in your Cookidoo® account are not syncing to your TM5.
- Are any of the recipes TM6 only? These recipes can’t be synced to a TM5 model, as the recipe includes features that are not available on the TM5.
- Is your Cook-Key registered to the account you are saving recipes to? You can easily check this by logging in to your account on the Cookidoo® website and going to Account>My device and make sure the Cook-Key ID matches the information in your account.
When you create a Cookidoo® account for the first time, you’ll automatically receive a free 30-day subscription and it will be activated immediately
If you already have an existing Cookidoo® account, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to access the free trial, as it may have been activated automatically when you first created your Cookidoo® account.
