Prep your pizza on the Ovana bamboo pizza paddle, just like the Italians have for centuries with the traditional wooden pizza paddle. Naturally non-stick, our modern and sustainable take on this classic slice of pizza history keeps your fresh homemade pizza dough perfectly intact while you add toppings and slide it into the oven.
Just dust the surface with a little cornflour or flour before use and your fresh moist pizza dough will slide effortlessly off the bamboo pizza paddle.
We’re firm believers in choosing the right pizza tool for the right pizza job, and while wood would always be our first choice for prepping, we wouldn’t recommend it for turning and removing your pizza from the oven. A wooden or bamboo pizza paddle has to be thicker than metal to make it robust, so it’s not as easy to slide under, turn and lift your pizza without damaging the structure of your pizza base. We recommend using the adonised aluminium Ovana pizza peels for this job.
However, if you do choose to use it to transfer your freshly made pizzas into the Ovana oven, your bamboo pizza paddle may scorch over time, giving it that beautifully rustic brown patina. But that lived-in look is part of its charm, just like the original wooden pizza paddles.

The board is a good size, nice to serve off as the handle allows you to pass it around for people. Cleans off well afterwards too.
