Say NO! to single-use disposable bread bags, toggles & ties and Hello! to Onya vintage styled reusable Bread Bags designed to carry your bread home in style without any packaging waste! Made from 100% rPET recycled drink bottles, this reusable bread bag replaces the need for single-use plastic bread bags.
Hot Tip: Most fresh bread purchased at a bakery or made at home is preservative free meaning that your loaf will likely only last 2-3 days stored on your benchtop before going stale. To preserve your bread for longer it is best to freeze your bread when it is cool but fresh.
Ideally, fresh bread should never be stored in the fridge as this more moist environment can encourage bacteria to form along the surface of the bread forming mold.
Roll and clip closure also acts as a handle when shopping to make your bread bag a breeze to transport.
To clean, you can just pull out the inner lining to dispose of any crumbs and reuse again. You don’t necessarily have to wash it every time, but if you want to, a luke warm hand wash is all that is necessary. We recommend handwashing only, as the metal buckles may get damaged or do damage to the interior of a washing machine.

Happy with the bag, can’t work out how to do it up to seal it
Thanks for your feedback Vicki, there is a short video on how to use the bag which can be found here - https://thermomix.com.au/products/onya-reusable-bread-bag
Basically, to close the bag you squeeze it shut at the top, roll the bag close and use the metal clips to seal it shut which should form a handle. This will help lock in the freshness of the bread as well as make it easy to carry. Hope that helps
As a single person, a loaf of bread always goes straight to the freezer. Much better in PET than the plastic bags the good breads can be packaged in. Also bread in perfect shape - no frost forming around bread etc.
Quite tricky to work out how to use. My husband finally worked it out & claims yes, the bread (my homemade spelt loaves pre-cut) do store better in the freezer with these bags.. There appears to be less condensation buildup which turns into ice when present. It is a challenge to close the bag airtight when loaf becomes smaller, less slices of bread remaining. You need to roll the bag on itself more to somehow achieve a tight closing.
Hi Jillian, thanks very much for your review. That is great news that your bread has been keeping fresher for longer and we appreciate the feedback about the size of the bag.
I find it very handy, is exactly what the box it came in says!
