Bundled with every brand new Thermomix TM5, the Thermomix Basic Cookbook is your essential guide to getting started on your journey to faster, easier and healthier cooking.
We wanted to help you discover just how easy it is to make quick, healthy and delicious meals from scratch with your new TM5, from the moment it arrives on your kitchen bench. So we called out to Thermomix Recipe Developers from all over the world to contribute to the Thermomix Basic Cookbook. We asked them to share their tried-and-tested Thermomix basic recipes, their meal planning tips and all the need-to-know Thermomix basics.
The result is an essential collection of more than 180 Thermomix basic recipes – from breakfast, lunch and dinner ideas to sweet and savoury baking, sauces, conserves and drinks. And all with prep and cooking times, skill levels, nutritional info and portion guides.
We even included an easy-to-follow guide to adapting your very own favourite recipes for your Thermomix TM5. We thought of everything, so you can get creating with confidence.

I love my Cookbook. It has been so helpful.
A very comprehensive book. Good basic tips. Great for beginners.
I bought a second hand tm5 from my daughter. In I love it.
Lovely book. Easy to follow and a good variety of recipes.
I did however have an issue with brioche recipe. Dough did not rise. It has a 10 minute knead which I felt was too long. The dough was very hot at the end of the time, so yeast had obviously died. Have also tried the milk bread ( which I added dried fruit to) and it was perfect.
Thanks for getting in touch Maryanne, it sounds like you have been very busy trying out the recipes and I'm so glad you are enjoying it overall. I wouldn't give up on the brioche recipe just yet! It is worth noting that the rising time depends on temperature. Proving should take place in a constant temperature environment. Low temperature will lead to long proving time, high temperature (above 40°C) may weaken or kill the yeast. To create a warm environment you can place the shaped brioche in a turned off cool oven with a bowl of hot water near it.
Hopefully that helps you create the perfect Brioche for next time!
